Some reviews from Edward's performances:
Solo appearances:
Shostakovich Concerto for Piano, Trumpet and Strings, with the London City Chamber Orchestra. Hadleigh, Suffolk, 2006.
The trumpet playing was excellent with Edward Maxwell some times strident and at others obtaining a beautifully soft sound.

Review of concert with Warlock Singers and North Downs Consort, St John the Baptist Church, Penshurst, 2005
The guest soloist for the evening was Edward Maxwell who astonished the audience with a performance of Purcell’s Sonata in D for Trumpet. This was played on a natural trumpet (one without the advantage of valves that a modern instrument has), and accompanied on the organ by Ian le Grice... The programme ended in rumbustious fashion with a high spirited rendition of Warlock’s “Yarmouth Fair”, one of his most well known songs, which had some delightful ad libs on the trumpet from Edward Maxwell thrown in for good measure!
The Sevenoaks Chronicle
Quiet City by Aaron Copland with Surrey ProMusica, Reigate Park Church, 2003
Edward excelled himself with his interpretation of this 1940's era composition from this distingued American.
The Guide, Surrey Mirror
Vivaldi Double Trumpet Concerto with Surrey ProMusica, Harlequin Theatre, Redhill, 2003
The first half concluded with virtuoso performances by Edward Maxwell and Richard Hammond playing Vivaldi's Concerto in C for two trumpets. The imitation and rivalry of this marvellous baroque piece was superbly brought to life by these two masters of their art.
